Dwayne D. Woodruff
In 1997, founding partners, Dwayne D. Woodruff, Esq. and Shawn T. Flaherty, Esq. formed their law practice in the Shadyside section of Pittsburgh. The partnership was bound for success based upon their popularity in the city and their distinguished legal careers. Dwayne Woodruff was a hero in Pittsburgh after winning the 1979 Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers. More amazingly, he gained notoriety nationwide for attending and excelling at Duquesne law school while still playing football for the World Champions. He now presides as the Honorable Dwayne D. Woodruff, after he was elected judge in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County in 2006.

Former Mayor Pete Flaherty
Shawn T. Flaherty, Esq. was the eldest son of the beloved former Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh, the late Honorable Peter (Pete) Flaherty. Our office had the pleasure of working with ‘Pete’ for several years prior to his passing. Dwayne and Shawn became lifelong friends at Duquesne University School of Law and then began their law practices together as Associates at Meyer, Unkovic & Scott, LLP (Pittsburgh, PA).
In 1997, their newly found law firm was an immediate success. Founded upon integrity, hard work and commitment to clients, Woodruff & Flaherty, P.C. was an immediate recognized and respected law firm. In 1997, Noah Paul Fardo, Esq., joined the firm while in law school. Shortly thereafter, he became an Associate. By 2004, he was offered full partnership in Woodruff, Flaherty & Fardo, LLC.
In 2006, partner Dwayne Woodruff, Esq. was presented with an opportunity to give back to the public and was elected as a Judge in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County where he works in the juvenile division. Judges are not allowed to hold partnerships with law firms. Accordingly, In 2006, the firm name was changed to FLAHERTY FARDO, LLC. We thank Judge Woodruff for his years of service and miss him.
Mr. Rogel is entering his seventh year with the firm, and is a litigator whose efforts are currently focused in Pennsylvania medical malpractice, personal injury law, Pennsylvania debt collection, general business litigation, and appellate law.

Nicole M. Hauptman, Esq.
Nicole Hauptman will be entering her fourth year with Flaherty Fardo, LLC and recently was admitted to practice law in the State of Pennsylvania. A recent graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Ms. Hauptman has extensive experience in Allegheny County property assessment appeals and general civil litigation. Her practice as an attorney will continue as advocate for property owners fighting assessment appeals and will include real estate, business and injury litigation. She is a native of Buffalo, New York.

Stephanie L. Fera, Esq.
Stephanie Fera is an associate hired in 2012, who graduated with honors from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and was elected Executive Editor of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. She practices in a variety of civil litigation, including business, real estate and personal injury.

Megan Grau, Office Manager
Megan C. Grau will be entering her sixth year with Flaherty Fardo, LLC and is the office manager. She has significant experience with business litigation and debt collection, and is familiar with general procedures for obtaining and enforcing Pennsylvania money judgments. She is responsible for all employee, payroll and administrative issues.
Megan has previous executive administration experience with Holy Family Institute of Pittsburgh She is well versed with Pennsylvania Rules of Civil Procedure both on business, injury and tax related matters. She regularly meets with and helps clients on a variety of issues.

Dean Fardo, M.D.
Dr. Dean Fardo routinely reviews and discusses cases involving general surgery errors, plastic and cosmetic surgery errors, and emergency room mistakes. Dr. Dean Fardo is a board certified plastic surgeon who has been reviewing cases for our Pittsburgh law firm for over 10 years.
He is presently employed at the world renown Swan Center for Plastic Surgery in Atlanta, Georgia. He has extensive surgical and plastic surgery training, including being an on-staff physician for the Cleveland Clinic. In addition, he has extensive surgical training and experience involving cosmetic surgeries involving the face and breasts. He is an expert in evaluating botched breast augmentations and bad plastic surgery results.

Dr. Barbara E. Fardo
Dr. Barbara E. Fardo is board certified in family practice. She owns and operates a family practice in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. She routinely reviews, discusses and assists with medical malpractice cases involving OB/GYN mistakes, emergency room mistakes, failure to diagnose cases, and cases involving lack of informed consent.
She has significant experience in treating elderly patients and is pivotal in our ability to review nursing home neglect and elder abuse cases. She also has significant experience in reviewing OB/GYN (Obstretcian/gynecologist) cases. Dr. Fardo’s greatest stength to us is rendering objective and impartial opinions to ensure that we only pursue cases where a deviation from the acceptable standard of care is noted by our physicians.

Kelsey Ramsdell
