William F. Rogel is a litigator whose efforts are currently focused in Pennsylvania medical malpractice, personal injury law, Pennsylvania debt collection, general business litigation, and appellate law.
He is known for his abilities in writing briefs to the Pennsylvania Superior Court, Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court, and most recently, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He is in charge of all major legal research projects at the firm and most of the appellate work.
This past fall he successfully convinced the Pennsylvania Superior Court to affirm a commercial landlord/tenant dispute and 6 figure verdict thus ensuring victory in a 6 year litigation case for a valuable client of the firm.
Mr. Rogel is a 2003 graduate of Yale University, where he received a B.A. in political science. While at Yale, he wrote for several campus publications and he was elected president of the Yale Political Union, Yale’s largest student organization and the oldest and most prestigious forum for political discourse anywhere in the country.
In 2006, Attorney Rogel was awarded his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, Connecticut. He was a member of the Quinnipiac Probate Law Journal, and he competed in multiple interscholastic trial advocacy competitions as a member of the Mock Trial Honor Society. While in Law School, Mr. Rogel worked as a law clerk at an eight-member law firm in Connecticut. He also served as an intern with the United States Attorney’s Office in New Haven, Connecticut.
Attorney William F. Rogel is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and Connecticut. He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association. Presently, he is involved with a variety of litigation including personal injury lawsuits, premise liability claims, and Pennsylvania debt collection law. He is also scheduled to appear again shortly before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania for additional argument.
Attorney Rogel became a partner at Flaherty Fardo, LLC in 2013.
Mr. Rogel has lived in Plum, in Pittsburgh’s eastern suburbs, since 1993. He attended The Kiski School, in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania. He is a proud Pittsburgher and an avid sports fan. His personal interests include softball, deck hockey team, and golf. His also dabbles in politics, history, and philosophy, is a member of the Yale Club of Pittsburgh, and enjoys spending time with his family, especially his young nephew and niece.
